Pergolesi is mainly known for his emotional Stabat Mater, in which feelings of passion, indignation and resignation take turns in a dazzling speed. For this performance, the ACVA returns to the original manuscript and uses the baroque pitch. Another famous and mystic piece is the Miserere by Allegri. After a papal decree, the Miserere was exclusively reserved for the Sistine Chapel and the score of the piece was not allowed to leave the Vatican. But the Pope could not have taken into account that, 150 years after the decree, a 14-year old boy by the name of Mozart from Salzburg walked into the Sistine Chapel and could write down the entire piece after a single listen!
