For the third time, the Academy of Vocal Arts organizes
a masterclass for choir conductors with affinity for working
with children and youth.
Marc Korovitch (choir master of the Swedish Radio Choir) and
Silvère van Lieshout (former director of the Academy of Vocal Arts)
will work with a maximum of 8 active participants.
The programme will finish with a concert that is open to public.
Passive participants are welcome to observe the masterclass as well.
Active participants will get the opportunity to work with both
high level children- and youth choirs as well as
with chamber choir ACVA VOCES.
They develop their skills in rehearsing and conducting
through musicality and technique.

Active participants (conductors) should be no older
than 40 years of age. Candidates should include a CV
and a recording with either an amateur choir or with
professional singers demonstrating their work as a conductor
(see below for the information where to send your application to).
The two teachers will select the candidates for active participation.
The decision on active participation will be taken before
April 26th 2023. Those candidates not selected are
most welcome to attend as observing conductors.

The teachers will determine the active participants’ schedule.
The Academy of Vocal Arts reserve the right to make
video- and audio recordings of rehearsals and concerts
intended for media or educational purposes.
Participants are not entitled to any
remuneration for these recordings.
• Passive participants are not allowed to record
audio or video during the rehearsals or the concert.
All participants will organize and pay their own transportation to the locations. Participants also organize their own accommodation. However, the Academy of Vocal Arts can provide assistance in finding accommodation if needed.

Passive participants
There is no age limit or admission for passive participants.
However, they do need to register by sending an e-mail to info@acva.nl mentioning
