The last stage before...
This is the last stage before The Hague’s Children’s Choir.
By now the children know how to sight read music. Besides all the effort they have put in, their personal motivation and their talent, they will also have completed the first book of the “Jongleren” sight reading syllabus! Part Two of the syllabus offers them new challenges and the repertoire becomes harder. Songs with two or three voice parts are no exception in Choir Class D!
'The students in Choir Class D are real aspiring choir members. They co-create, their stage presentation skills are well developed and their musical experience is already quite profound! '
'That moment when a student comes forward with a good idea of their own, when the group contributes their ideas and suggestions about an arrangement or positioning: that is what I do it for!'
'There comes this special moment where the children learn melodies in the minor key. They always think this is so beautiful! It sounds so sad, but also “real”.'
'Every child has its own sound which is continually developing. I really enjoy the challange of guiding them on this path and the expreciencing all the discoveries together!'
